Nicholas Kennedy is highly selective of the clients he represents to ensure each client receives the personalized attention and zealous advocacy they deserve. Nicholas understands that each client’s needs are unique, and he provides a range of services, from client counseling to trial advocacy, to achieve his client’s goals.

Nicholas has litigated in federal and state courts, before administrative agencies, and in arbitrations.  He has successfully resolved disputes under a litany of federal statutes, including Title VII, ADEA, FMLA, ADA, and FLSA, as well as state statutory and common law claims. Nicholas also advises employees on issues surrounding non-compete agreements, severance packages, and unemployment compensation.

In law school, Nicholas was selected to join the University of Pittsburgh Law Review and The Order of the Coif, an honorary society for law students in the top 10% of their graduating class.  Since law school, Nicholas has dedicated himself to honing his skill set.  To that end, Nicholas regularly presents on emerging issues in employment law for organizations such as the Allegheny County Bar Association (ACBA) and Pennsylvania Association for Justice (PAJ).  Additionally, Nicholas received a scholarship to and completed the National Trial Academy College at the University of Virginia, where he received mentorship and guidance from the federal judiciary.

Giving back to his community is important to Nicholas.  He currently serves as the President of Neighborhood Legal Services’ Board of Directors and as the Co-Chair of the ACBA’s Community Service Committee.  Nicholas also provides pro bono legal services to individuals in need.

In his free time, Nicholas enjoys spending time with his family, CrossFit, traveling, scuba diving, and creating stained glass.  Nicholas and his wife, Lindsey, who is also an employment lawyer, joke that employment law is their life.
